Ferguson & Wonch Parks

Overview

Ferguson Park and Wonch Park sit on on either side of Okemos Rd on the banks of the Red Cedar River near downtown Okemos. These parks features play equipment, picnic areas, restrooms, and canoe/kayak launches in each park. Wonch Park has a more modern/accessible launch area. Paddlers heading downstream from Ferguson Park/Wonch Park should note that there is a portage on MSU campus (near the Library Bridge) before the next landing (MSU Canoe & Kayak Launch).
